INDONESIA HIT BY TWO MODERATE QUAKES
Two earthquakes measuring 5.1 and 5.8 on the Richter Scale hit Indonesia this afternoon.
The Meteorology Department in a statement here said the 5.8 magnitude earth-quate struck 111km Northwest of Talaud Island (833km Northeast of Semporna, Sabah), at 4.29pm.
The 5.1 magnitude temblor hit Halmahera, 141km Southwest of Tidore (1090km Southeast of Semporna, Sabah) at 4.52pm.
No tsunami threat was reported from either earthquake, the statement said.
