Commander Moussa Bako Installed as Director General of Faso Yaar


Ouagadougou: Commander Moussa Bako was officially installed as the Director General of the state-owned company Faso Yaar, a firm dedicated to supporting the purchasing power of Burkinabe citizens and regulating consumer product prices.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Commander Bako’s appointment marks a significant step in the economic sovereignty policy advocated by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. The Council of Ministers appointed Commander Bako on October 9, and he has committed to making the company an effective tool for market stabilization.



Commander Bako highlighted the challenges facing the national market, including rising prices and supply disruptions. He affirmed that Faso Yaar’s mission is to address these issues and restore hope to consumers. He emphasized a commitment to transparency, discipline, and rigor, urging his colleagues to work diligently towards the company’s goals.



The Secretary General of the Ministry of Commerce, Alassane Ouedraogo, congratulated Commander Bako on his new role and urged him to expedite the company’s operations in Ouagadougou, Koudougou, and Bobo-Dioulasso. Commander Bako expressed gratitude to the President of Faso for the trust placed in him and acknowledged the support and guidance from the Minister in charge of Trade, Serge Poda.
