Eldda Kouama Engages Female Teachers in Bam for Leadership Empowerment


Ouagadougou: Eldda Kouama engages female teachers on the path to female leadership: Business leader and communicator Ragnimwende Eldda Kouama praised the determination and commitment of the Bam fighting forces in the fight against terrorism, during the first edition of the Day of the Association of Bam Educators for the Promotion of Gender (AEB-G) in Kongoussi.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was chaired by the Minister of Basic Education, Literacy and Promotion of National Languages, Jacques Sosthene Dingara, represented by the High Commissioner of Bam, Karim Ouedraogo. The ceremony gathered several stakeholders from the educational sector, local authorities, and partners.



Mrs. Ragnimwende Eldda Kouama, as the event’s patron, paid tribute to the defense and security forces (FDS) and the volunteers for the defense of the homeland (VDP). She expressed her commitment to the community, stating that she would continue to visit Kongoussi, emphasizing her equal standing with the residents and the FDS and VDP who sacrifice for the community’s safety.



During the event, 17 education professionals from Bam, including those from non-formal education, preschool, primary education, administrative staff, and retirees, were honored with trophies and certificates for their dedication to education and gender promotion.



Ms. Kouama also conducted a module on women’s leadership, drawing inspiration from the People’s Democratic Revolution (PDR) ideals. She encouraged women to assert themselves and actively contribute to national development through their roles in education.



AEB-G President, Ms. Franceline Sawadogo, expressed gratitude for the sponsor’s dedication and reiterated the association’s commitment to advancing female educators in Bam and ensuring inclusive and quality education for all.



The Minister’s representative congratulated the association’s members for their initiative and assured them of the Ministry’s support in their endeavors.



Ragnimwende Eldda Kouama is noted for her role as an African civil society actor who criticized French policy in Africa during the Africa-France Summit in October 2021.
