Koosin: Provincial Treasurer Brahima Sigriyouma Commits to Promoting Virtuous Governance


Nouna: The Secretary General of Koosin Province, Firmin Bassole, representing the High Commissioner, installed, this Thursday, September 18, 2025 in Nouna, the principal treasurer of the province, the treasury inspector, Brahima Sigriyouma. He pledged to promote virtuous governance within the Koosin provincial treasury.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Brahima Sigriyouma was appointed by the Council of Ministers on March 12, 2025, as Chief Treasurer of the Koosin Province. He was officially installed in his duties in the presence of the Regional Director of the Treasury of the Sourou and Bankui Region, Sokiere Hien, along with various directors and department heads.



The new provincial treasurer expressed an understanding of the significant tasks and responsibilities ahead, noting the high expectations. “I am committed to promoting virtuous governance within the Koosin provincial treasury,” Sigriyouma stated.



The accountability process was overseen by Treasury Inspector-Verifier Abel Kabore, with authorized representative Siaka Ouattara, adhering to the rules of ethics and professional conduct governing public accounts.



Outgoing Treasury Inspector Stephane Traore expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their past cooperation and hoped for continued support for the incoming treasurer.



Firmin Bassole, the general secretary of the province of Koosin, emphasized the need for an effective presence alongside the resilient population.
