Nahouri: The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Po, Ilassa Dianda, chaired the fourth ordinary session of the year 2025 of the commune on Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24, 2025, in Po. Several items were included on the agenda, including the examination and adoption of the 2026 initial budget set at 301,642,802 CFA francs, as well as the adoption of administrative and financial deliberations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the special delegation, Ilassa Dianda, called for frank and productive discussions among the members to address the challenges anticipated for 2026. Dianda emphasized the necessity of involving all stakeholders to effectively address these challenges.
The PDS urged members to be exemplary and act as relays for initiatives undertaken by the highest authorities. The initial budget for 2026 is balanced in both revenue and expenditure, totaling 301,642,802 CFA francs, with 59,000,000 CFA francs allocated for investment. The budget received unanimous approval from the 18 members present, granting Ilassa Dianda the mandate to present it to the regional technical commission.
To enhance revenue, Dianda encouraged members and stakeholders to actively engage in resource mobilization by raising awareness among the population. The session also included the review and adoption of financial and administrative deliberations.
The PDS commended the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie that characterized the session, along with the technical services that consistently supported the special delegation. The members committed to raising taxpayer and public awareness through citizen participation, aiming to make the commune of Po a resilient and exemplary community.
