Sissili: The Leo Special Municipal Delegation Readjusts Its Budget to Close the 2025 Financial Year


Sissili: The Special Delegation of the Municipality of Leo closed its third ordinary session of the year on Thursday, held on September 10 and 11, 2025, in Leo. The discussions focused on the review of municipal finances and the definition of strategies to improve administrative and financial performance.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the session began with the reading and adoption of the minutes from the previous meeting, followed by the examination of the report from the Economic and Financial Analysis Unit (CAEF). This diagnosis served as the basis for the study of the municipality’s 2025 amended budget.



Faced with the realities of financial execution, the delegates unanimously adopted the amended budget, intended to redirect credits towards actions deemed priorities and to guarantee the balance of accounts until the end of the year.



To prepare for the future, the assembly decided to recruit four municipal police officers, three through direct competitive examinations, one professional, and one office worker. The organization of these competitive examinations will be entrusted to the ANPE and the National Police Academy to ensure transparency and fairness, said the president of the special delegation, Kassoum Koalaga.



The discussions also highlighted the need for each member to contribute to the mobilization of financial resources, particularly by identifying new sources of financing and optimizing the collection of own revenue.



The second day was devoted to reviewing the authorizing officer’s report accompanying the second amending budget. Participants also assessed the progress made on the 2025 investments, noting the progress made and the obstacles that need to be overcome to complete the projects on time.



“We have readjusted the 2025 budget according to urgent priorities and invite the population to respect the regulatory provisions while voluntarily contributing to the mobilization of resources,” declared delegate Abdramane Nignan.



The proceedings concluded with the miscellaneous news section, in a climate of general satisfaction. Participants praised the quality of the discussions, which combined technical rigor and strategic vision.



Under the leadership of Kassoum Koalaga, the special delegation affirmed its desire to manage current affairs diligently while laying the foundations for an efficient and virtuous local administration.
