Ouagadougou: An architectural competition has been announced for the rehabilitation of the D©sir© Bonongo Popular Theatre, which also serves as the Choreographic Development Center (CDC La Termitiere), along with the development of its surroundings. This initiative aims to revitalize the cultural hub and enhance its facilities for better service to the community.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the project will focus on restoring and upgrading the theatre’s infrastructure to support its role as a center for choreographic development. The competition invites architects to submit proposals that incorporate innovative design solutions while respecting the historical significance of the venue. The development of the theatre’s surroundings is also a key component, aimed at improving accessibility and creating a welcoming environment for visitors and artists alike.
