Ouagadougou: The Tamacheq Culture Festival (AIB) on Friday donated 10 bags of cement and packets of water to Faso Mªbo, a community initiative aimed at beautifying cities and opening up localities in Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Tamacheq Culture Festival, Oufen AG, stated, "We are Burkinab¨, that is why we are making our contribution to the construction of the country, in accordance with the call of President Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©." This contribution is part of an ongoing effort to support the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo, which seeks to improve infrastructure and community development across the nation.
Mr. Tiwara expressed his appreciation for the establishment of the Faso Mªbo initiative, noting that if it had been launched five years earlier, Burkina Faso would have seen significant development progress by now. The head of the Festival also indicated that additional initiatives are being planned to further support the presidential program.
Furthermore, the Festival's leadership has called on all Burkinabe citizens to contribute to the construction of Faso, encouraging participation either through material donations or voluntary labor. The Tamacheq Culture Festival itself is dedicated to preserving cultural values and fostering unity among communities, promoting social cohesion and development.
The upcoming second edition of the Festival is set to take place from November 28-30, 2025, under the theme 'Promoting culture, a vector of peace, resilience and community development'.
