Lesotho Intensifies Diplomatic Efforts with Gulf Nations to Boost Economic Ties

Maseru: In line with the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho's commitment to intensify economic diplomacy and deepen relations and cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Hon. Limpho Tau, undertook an official visit to Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. According to African Press Organization, Hon. Tau was received by Kuwait's Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Africa, H.E. Sammer Essa Johar Hayat. During his visit, the Minister is expected to hold talks with Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad. These discussions will be followed by engagements with senior officials of the Kuwait Investment Authority, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. Following his visit to Kuwait, the Minister will proceed to Abu Dhabi. There, he is scheduled to meet his UAE counterpart to further strengthen bilateral relations and explore opportunities for coopera tion, advancing Lesotho's economic diplomacy and expanding strategic partnerships.
