Migosi Primary School in Kisumu Central Celebrates Sterling Performance in Music Festivals

Kisumu: The head teacher, Migosi Primary School in Kisumu Central Sub County, Mrs. Rose Omollo, has applauded the unwavering support by the school's parents and teachers leading to the sterling performance the school posted at the national drama and music festivals.

According to Kenya News Agency, Omollo attributed the school's sterling performance in the annual festivals to concerted effort and unwavering support by the school's community, including the parents. This support enabled the school to post better results than in all previous years of the competitions and clinch more than 8 trophies in various categories of the competition.

Mrs. Omollo expressed gratitude to the trainer, Mr. Fadhil Ndolo, for his dedication in training the learners. She highlighted the hard work applied by both the learners and teachers, while acknowledging the parents' financial sacrifices and support.

Addressing concerns about academic performance, Omollo dismissed allegations of a decline due to a focus on extracurricular activities. She emphasized that academics remain a priority, citing the achievement of a student selected to represent the country in an upcoming continental debate in Rwanda.

Omollo reassured the public of the school's commitment to maintaining high academic standards alongside extracurricular excellence. She noted the school's progress, including sending a learner to a national debating competition with expectations of representing Kenya in Rwanda.
