Luanda: The Right Honourable, Prime Minister Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane, participated in the African Union Extraordinary Summit held in Luanda, Angola. This significant gathering included Heads of State and Government across the continent, convening to deliberate on continental issues and enhance collaborative efforts for Africa's development and integration.

According to African Press Organization, Prime Minister Matekane also visited the United Capital Fertilizers (UCF) facility in Zambia. During his tour, he was accompanied by UCF Board Chairperson, Mr. Chance Kabaye, and his team. The visit highlighted the exploration of potential partnerships aimed at supplying and developing fertilizers specifically tailored for the soils and seeds used in Lesotho. Additionally, discussions included the possibility of UCF establishing a fertilizer manufacturing facility within Lesotho.
