Ouagadougou: The official opening of the first edition of the Faso Mªbo Holiday Camp was marked by a ceremonious start as Colonel Isma«l Kiswendsida DIAOUARI, the Chief of Staff of the Presidency of Faso, blew the first whistle on Tuesday morning. The event took place at Marien N'Gouabi High School, attended by key figures including the Minister Director of the Cabinet of the President of Faso, Captain Martha C©leste Anderson Dekomwin MEDAH, and the National Coordinator of the Faso Mªbo Presidential Initiative, Commander Ahmed Zoodnoma SAKAND‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬°.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the National Coordinator of the Presidential Initiative Faso Mªbo outlined that the camp's first session will engage 410 campers in activities designed to instill civic and patriotic values. Campers will gain hands-on experience in making and laying paving stones and will be introduced to concepts such as civic duty, patriotism, and respect for the environment. The program also includes carpentry, plastic art, living art, and emphasizes discipline and friendship-building.
Colonel Isma«l Kiswendsida DIAOUARI, the event's sponsor, emphasized the importance of civic spirit and patriotism. He explained that civic spirit involves respecting rules and protecting communal assets, while patriotism entails loving one's country, understanding its history, honoring its symbols, and striving for its improvement. He highlighted the symbolic significance of Lyc©e Marien N'Gouabi, a historic site where Voltaic soldiers transferred from the French army in 1961 and where President Thomas SANKARA studied, as the chosen venue for the camp.
Colonel DIAOUARI assured the campers that he would support them throughout the 10-day camp, encouraging them to use the opportunity to forge new friendships, discover their talents, and dream big for Burkina Faso. Following the session in Ouagadougou, Bobo-Dioulasso in the Guiriko region is set to host the second session of the first edition of Camp Vacances Faso Mªbo.
