Zondoma: Representatives of the Zondoma province at the Regional Culture Week (SRC) received encouragement from the provincial authorities before their departure for Ouahigouya this Thursday, September 11, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, as part of the Regional Culture Week (SRC) 2025 to be held in Ouahigouya on September 12 and 13, 2025, the province of Zondoma will be represented in two categories: performing arts and traditional sports. Six troupes have been mobilized for this purpose, including the RelwendE troupe from Guiri-Guiri in popular choir, NabonswendE from Boussou in traditional adult dance, and the Ronsin primary school in traditional youth dance. The Buud-reem orchestra from Tougo and a candidate in slam will also participate.

In addition to these cultural representatives, a team of 37 wrestlers will compete in several categories. A total of 104 wrestlers will represent the province in this competition, which is part of the 22nd edition of the SNC Bobo National Culture Week 2026.

Before leaving for the city of Naaba Kango, they were received by the High Commissioner of the province, Aboubacar Sidiki NabE, who was accompanied by the Provincial Director of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Kassoum Sawadogo. "You are ambassadors of the culture of Zondoma, the whole province is counting on you for great performances to qualify for Bobo 2026," declared the High Commissioner to galvanize the troupe. The competitions will begin on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the youth and cultural center of Ouahigouya.
